The Making

The majority of our ranges are produced by silk screen printing, by Stewart Chown. Exposed onto screens from film depending on the design, the process will either be four colour or individual screens for each colour.

The colour we use is ceramic oxides which fuse into the glaze of the china when fired.

Once printed on specialist paper, the design is coated and a transfer is produced (almost like a sticker).

The transfers are then placed onto the China by hand, by our highly skilled lithographers.

The china is then fired at a minimum of 850 degrees and allowed to cool before being selected and sent out to our customers.
